Mr. Furey writes research, meets with clients, and oversees the firm’s operations. He also speaks extensively at industry and client conferences and events. Prior to FRP, Mr. Furey was a Managing Director and Head of The Furey Group at Neuberger Berman, a subsidiary of Lehman Brothers, where he managed small-cap money. Prior to that, Mr. Furey ran Small-Cap Strategy at Lehman Brothers and was a member of the Lehman Brothers Equity Research Investment Policy Committee. Mr. Furey joined Lehman Brothers in May 2002. In 2006, Mr. Furey was voted Institutional Investor’s All-America Research “First Team” Small-Companies Analyst/Strategist for a second consecutive year. Mr. Furey was a member of the All-America team for five consecutive years, during which his research was recognized among “Who’s the Best” in three of five cross-industry categories, notably Written Reports, Earnings Estimates and Accessibility prior to his category being eliminated. Prior to joining Lehman, Mr. Furey held the same position at JPMorgan. In 1998, he was a founding member of Atlantic Capital Management, LLC in Richmond, VA, a small-cap institutional equity manager, where he was a portfolio manager and analyst from 1998 to 1999. Mr. Furey ran client service and marketing at Amerindo Investment Advisors, LLC from 1996 to 1998 and worked at Morgan Stanley from 1988 to 1996 where he was US Director of Operations, Equity Research after being an institutional equity salesperson. From 1983 to 1986 he worked at Bankers Trust in corporate finance. Mr. Furey received a BA in History in 1983 from Princeton University and received an MBA from Dartmouth's Amos Tuck School of Business Administration in 1988.

John Galvin is a Furey Research Partners founder and Partner located in the Boston, MA area. Mr. Galvin writes research with a focus on earnings, technicals, sector rotation, economic and macro influences, and quantitative strategies. Prior to FRP, Mr. Galvin was a Vice President and a member of the Furey Group at Neuberger Berman. Prior to Neuberger Berman, Mr. Galvin was a member of the Small-Cap Strategy team at Lehman Brothers, which he joined in May 2002. Mr. Galvin has been working with Mr. Furey since August 2000 including during the small-cap strategy product’s formation while at JPMorgan. Mr. Galvin came to JPMorgan from ING Barings’ Telecom Investment Banking group where he worked as an analyst for two years. Prior to ING Barings, Mr. Galvin served in the U.S. Navy resigning at the rank of Lieutenant after tours of duty onboard the USS John Paul Jones (DDG-53) and USS Cleveland (LPD-7) and completing two deployments to the Persian Gulf. Mr. Galvin received his BA in Economics in 1993 from Georgetown University.

Aditya Karande, CFA, is a Furey Research Partners founder and Partner located in Colorado. He is intimately involved in all aspects of the research process, including written reports and bespoke work. Mr. Karande specializes in projects that require creative analytic approaches to client queries and typically involve in-depth analysis of complex datasets. His research has been referenced broadly by the small-cap investment community, and his work can be found in white papers and marketing materials of numerous small-cap investment firms. Prior to FRP, Mr. Karande was a Vice President at Neuberger Berman, where he assisted in managing small-cap investments. Prior to that, he was a Vice President and member of the Small-Cap Strategy team at Lehman Brothers, which he joined in May 2004. Prior to Lehman, Mr. Karande worked for five years in the Investment Banking division of CIBC Oppenheimer. He has participated in numerous investment banking transactions, including public and private equity and debt financings, and merger and acquisition advisory transactions spanning the Technology, Industrials, and Telecommunications sectors. Mr. Karande graduated with Honors from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a Master’s Degree in Operations Research. He has been a CFA charterholder since 2006.

Jeff Burton is a Furey Research Partners founder and Partner located in Boston, MA. Jeff leads the firm’s institutional sales, marketing, and business development efforts. Prior to FRP, Jeff enjoyed a fifteen-year career in Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Division. From 2006-2007, he served as Managing Director, Head of Fundamental and Quantitative Equity Research, a proprietary trading research team. In this capacity, Jeff managed both a team of desk research analysts and a dedicated energy MLP fund. From 2003-2006, Jeff served as Managing Director and Head of Research Product Development and Marketing. He began his Wall Street career at Morgan Stanley in 1992 and served in various institutional sales positions in New York, San Francisco, and Boston. Jeff earned an MBA in Multinational Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in English Literature from Trinity College. He currently resides in Boston with his wife and three young children.

Chris Gaito is a Furey Research Partners founder and Partner located in the New York City area. Chris is primarily responsible for growing and developing relationships with our firm’s institutional clients, as well as managing all of our marketing events, including our Idea Summits and Hidden Gems Conferences. Before joining FRP, Chris spent nine years at Morgan Stanley in Institutional Equity Sales & Trading, most recently as a Vice President responsible for covering some of the largest and most successful asset management firms in New York City, spanning both mutual funds and hedge funds. Prior to that, Chris spent close to two years on the US Institutional Equity Product Marketing & Development team, assisting in run the firm’s daily “morning meeting” between research and sales. Before that, he worked on Morgan Stanley’s Japan Equity Sales desk in New York, selling their Japanese product to US investors. Chris received his BA in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and three children.
